The first occurrences

H7136 – h7136. קָרָה qâârâ

27 occurrences

You should use the tools we’ve been sharing and look up some of these verses and content, to get a feel for the breadth and depth of meaning.

One example listed above, paralleling Gn19:8, which was discussed in great detail in Post # 28. Log and Speck Revisited (PLEASE read that post to get understanding):

Psalms 104:1-4

Bless (h1288. בָּרַךְ ḇâraḵ) the LORD, O my soul!

O LORD my God, You are very great:

You are clothed with honor and majesty,

2 Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment,

Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.

3 He lays the beams (h7136. קָרָה qâârâ) of His upper chambers in the waters,

Who makes the clouds His chariot (h7398. רְכוּב reḵûḇ; h7392. רָכַב râḵaḇ),

Who walks on the wings of the wind, – עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רֽוּחַ

4 Who makes His angels spirits,

His ministers a flame of fire.

Notice how bless and chariot are same letters rearranged  similar meaning

H6982 – h6982. קוֹרָה qôrâ

5 occurrences

See SS1:17; 2Ch3:7; 2K6:2–5; Gn19:8

Genesis 19:8

8 See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof (h6982. קוֹרָה qôrâ).”

2 Kings 6:1-6 – (The Floating Ax Head)

1 And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we dwell with you is too small for us. 2 Please, let us go to the Jordan, and let every man take a beam (h6982. קוֹרָה qôrâ) from there, and let us make there a place where we may dwell.” So he answered, “Go.”

3 Then one said, “Please consent to go with your servants.”

And he answered, “I will go.” 4 So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees. 5 But as one was cutting down a tree (h6982. קוֹרָה qôrâ), the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.”

6 So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.

The above is going to fit with the continuation of the “Hebrew Lesson / Life Lesson Post.”

2 Chronicles 3:3-7

3 This is the foundation which Solomon laid for building the house of God: The length was sixty cubits (by cubits according to the former measure) and the width twenty cubits. 4 And the vestibule that was in front of the sanctuary was twenty cubits long across the width of the house, and the height was one hundred and twenty. He overlaid the inside with pure gold. 5 The larger room he paneled with cypress which he overlaid with fine gold, and he carved palm trees and chainwork on it. 6 And he decorated the house with precious stones for beauty, and the gold was gold from Parvaim. 7 He also overlaid the house—the beams (h6982. קוֹרָה qôrâ) and doorposts, its walls and doors—with gold; and he carved cherubim on the walls.
