When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid himself from them. 37 Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, 38 so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled (g4137. πληρόω plēroō):
“Lord, who has believed what he heard from us,
and to whom has the arm of YHWH been revealed?”
39 Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said,
40 “He has blinded their eyes

Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet
1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Yehuda Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him, 3 Yeshua, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, 4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. 5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” 7 Yeshua answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” 8 Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Yeshua answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” 9 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!” 10 Yeshua said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “Not all of you are clean.”
12 When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. 18 I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. You bring what has been taken by violence or is lame or sick, and this you bring as your offering! 23 When the soldiers had crucified Yeshua, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom, 24 so they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it shall be.” This was to fulfill (g4137. πληρόω plēroō) the Scripture which says,
“They divided my garments among them,
and for my clothing they cast lots.”
So the soldiers did these things, 25 but standing by the cross of Yeshua were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Yeshua saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
28 After this, Yeshua, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill (g5048. τελειόω teleioō; from g5046. τέλειος teleios) the Scripture), “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. 30 When Yeshua had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
31 Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Yehudeans asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who had been crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Yeshua and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. 35 He who saw it has borne witness—his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth—that you also may believe. 36 For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled (g4137. πληρόω plēroō): “Not one of his bones will be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they have pierced.”

43 And YHWH said to Moshe and Aharon, “This is the statute of the Passover: no foreigner shall eat of it, 44 but every slave that is bought for money may eat of it after you have circumcised him. 45 No foreigner or hired worker may eat of it. 46 It shall be eaten in one house; you shall not take any of the flesh outside the house, and you shall not break any of its bones. 47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. 48 If a stranger shall sojourn with you and would keep the Passover to YHWH, let all his males be circumcised. Then he may come near and keep it; he shall be as a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person shall eat of it. 49 There shall be one law for the native and for the stranger who sojourns among you.”
50 All the people of Israel did just as YHWH commanded Moshe and Aaron. 51 And on that very day YHWH brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts.
▸ Numbers 9:5-14
5 And they kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight, in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that YHWH commanded Moshe, so the people of Israel did. 6 And there were certain men who were unclean through touching a dead body, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moshe and Aharon on that day. 7 And those men said to him, “We are unclean through touching a dead body. Why are we kept from bringing YHWH’s offering at its appointed time among the people of Israel?” 8 And Moses said to them, “Wait, that I may hear what YHWH will command concerning you.”
9 YHWH spoke to Moshe, saying, 10 “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean through touching a dead body, or is on a long journey, he shall still keep the Passover to YHWH. 11 In the second month on the fourteenth day at twilight they shall keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. 12 They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break any of its bones; according to all the statute for the Passover they shall keep it. 13 But if anyone who is clean and is not on a journey fails to keep the Passover, that person shall be cut off from his people because he did not bring Yahovah’s offering at its appointed time; that man shall bear his sin. 14 And if a stranger sojourns among you and would keep the Passover to YHWH, according to the statute of the Passover and according to its rule, so shall he do. You shall have one statute, both for the sojourner and for the native.”

Of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, so that he drove him out, and he went away.
1 I will bless YHWH at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in YHWH;
let the humble hear and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify YHWH with me,
and let us exalt his name together!
4 I sought YHWH, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and YHWH heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of YHWH encamps
around those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Oh, taste and see that YHWH is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
9 Oh, fear YHWH, you his saints,
for those who fear him have no lack!
10 The young lions suffer want and hunger;
but those who seek YHWH lack no good thing.
11 Come, O children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of YHWH.
12 What man is there who desires life
and loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
15 The eyes of YHWH are toward the righteous
and his ears toward their cry.
16 The face of YHWH is against those who do evil,
to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 When the righteous cry for help, YHWH hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 Yahovah is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but YHWH delivers him out of them all.
20 He keeps all his bones;
not one of them is broken.
21 Affliction will slay the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 YHWH redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
▸ Zechariah 12:1 – 13:1
1 The oracle of the word of YHWH concerning Israel: Thus declares YHWH, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him: 2 “Behold, I am about to make Yerushalayim a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Yerushalayim will also be against Yehudah. 3 On that day I will make Yerushalayim a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it. 4 On that day, declares YHWH, I will strike every horse with panic, and its rider with madness. But for the sake of the house of Yehudah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5 Then the clans of Yehudah shall say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Yerushalayim have strength through YHWH of hosts, their God.’
6 “On that day I will make the clans of Yehudah like a blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves. And they shall devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, while Yerushalayim shall again be inhabited in its place, in Yerushalayim.
7 “And YHWH will give salvation to the tents of Yehudah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Yerushalayim may not surpass that of Yehudah. 8 On that day YHWH will protect the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of YHWH, going in their presence (לִפְנֵיהֶֽם). 9 And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Yerushalayim. //see Gn 24:7; Ex 14:19 (first time), 23:20, 23:23, 32:34, 33:2; Zch 3:1, 3:3, 3:4, 12:8//
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn. 11 On that day the mourning in Yerushalayim will be as great as the mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land shall mourn, each family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 and all the families that are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves.
